| Location: Deep-inside Flesher Territory
Time: 11-23-12-2643
Unit: Unit XX-2-AX
The radiation of the binary star system poured onto Unit XX-2-AX's amorphous back. It felt good. His crystalline carapace allowed him to work efficiently and effectively even in such inhospitable environments such as space being flooded with gamma-rays. Space travel felt good. Rhythm, Routine... the gentle instructions from the Omnimind. Back and forth, carrying. Space felt good. Can't hear, can't smell... can only see the pathways of nearly invisible particles through space. The hazy warmth of the suns. Back and forth. Carry. Sunshine.
Location: The Edge of Flesher Contested Territory
Time: 11-23-12-2643
Unit: Unit SS-3-D12
The Bio-metals on the Flesher unit twitched, before plunging into the middle of a metal worker. The smaller lazer shooters that protect the bigger ones. Crush the ship. Tear out the meat inside, like a clam. Tear out the muscle. Another ship. Bigger. FIGHT! Death! Fight! Blood. Tear apart tiny pink things, blue things, Blood. Blood blood blood. Feed upon blood. Feed upon the empty metal husks with the bright lights. Blood fight blood! FIGHT! Eat! Feed! FEED! Omnimind, direction. Follow direction to next metal husk. Attach! Destroy! Tear apart! Kill! Feed! FIGHT! DEATH! NO PAIN! DEATHHH!!!

| The Tyrant Lord
The Tyrant Lord felt each unit under his control as a human might feel a finger or a toe. He could exert direct control over their movements, which required more thought, or he could sub-dulate their movements to relays. Thus he barely had to think of them. He could feel the young inside their eggs, the sickles of his warriors, the hunger of his broods.
He knew the position of hundreds and hundreds of trillions of Fleshers at the same time. He understood the capabilities of each and everyone. How fast they moved, how much energy they required, how much they could carry and their uses.
He could direct every Flesher with a single thought.
-Now the blue thigns... who called themselves "Alteriians" were attacking again. More so than usual. Actually, they were using nearly every fleet they had. They were planning something, to put their forces into such a pitched battle. His Fleshers would defeat them without a doubt.-
The Tyrant Lord Directed more scouts to the sectors under attack, and other skirmish zones.
-The Alteriians were foolish to oppose him, but not so foolish as to throw their lives away. They must have some new technology, or some other diversion. No matter.-
The Tyrant Lord directed the bulk of his forces to destroy the encroaching metal husks. They may fight well within their own lands, but this was Flesher space.
-What are they up to?-
The Tyrant Lord extended his control to his scouts, and processed the information they sent back at speeds so ridiculously high that is was as if his form was there in person with each scout. The vast amounts of space in-between the scouts and his physical form did not matter.
-I observe they have not sent every fleet... they are keeping some of their 3rd battle group behind... the stealth battle group. Perhaps they have left that fleet behind in stealth to guard against counter-attack. It is consistent with Alteriian strategy.-
-Perhaps...- | |

| The Tyrant Lord found himself amused, which was an anomaly. The Tyrant Lord did not often have to deal with emotions of any kind whatsoever. They decreased the effectiveness of the information transfer.
The Alteriians must have thought they would be doing well, as the mowed around through archaic flesher units. In truth, they were doing the Tyrant Lord a favor in ridding him of the excess outdated troops while wearing themselves out in the process.
For the duration of the war, the Alteriians had seen little change in the makeup of the troops they had been fighting so desperately, which allowed them to develop methods of battle for dealing with each type and variation.
Was the Tyrant Lord so uncreative? Indeed not. Now the protective shields of the Alteriians would be useless against him.
-First a small taste of their defeat, before I pour into their galaxies and destroy their homes.-
The Tyrant Lord directed 300 million of his new servants to surround the entire flailing Alteriian fleet, which was merely a token of the power he now wielded.
-Engage.- | |

| The Flesher Overmind carefully directed the thousands of individual flesher warriors like a scalpel, hitting chinks in Alteriian formations where they were weak, avoiding confrontation where they were strong, and ever leading them into Flesher space, away from retreat. Away from any hope of escape.
-Move the Yaskilos into position once the Alteriians have proceeded far enough.-
The Flesher equivalents of dreadnoughts filled the space behind the shattered Alteriians as they fought bravely toward the Flesher trap. There were Flesher units aplenty, their numbers swelling algorithmicaly as they are joined by their lighter supporting troop cousins.
They had the Alteriian outnumbered by more than 600 to 1.
-Move in the reinforcements.-
The previous intentional weak spots of various flesher wolf-packs were suddenly reinforced by superior Flesher commando units and new upgraded and redesigned Flesher units, turning copper to steel and cracks to a solid face of unfaltering enemy opposition.
Magically the Alteriians had changed from hunter into prey.
The Alteriians were now outnumbered 800 to 1.
The 400,000 or so Alteriian ships found themselves trapped, no hope of retreat, no chance of victory, and with virtually no one in the universe left to save them from their peril. They faced doom. They faced it with brilliantly shining faces, at attention to the light, with tails of tiny black tears tracing down their faces... but they still faced inescapable doom.
The Overmind knew it too.
-Attack.-
300 million Flesher units descended upon the Alteriians. The screams of raging creatures rent the semi-atmospheric space, creating and eerie undulating wall of sound to Alteriian sensors as they lobbed organic missiles, acid, spores, and a thousand other nasty projectiles toward the blue things as they sped toward the ships; not caring for strategy but caring for blood and death. Their defenses were hardened, their scythes and claws were extended, and the Alteriians were just a few moments away from total, hopeless, merciless annihilation. | |
